It is not a rose, but it is beautiful.
With snow on its way tonight it could limit the possibilities of outdoor activities. However, don’t be afraid of the cold. A light hike in town is a great way to spend time with your loved ones and stay active. I think one of the more important aspects of staying fit is the idea that it does not have to be hours upon hours of workouts. Naturally, a gym membership and a sturdy workout plan are beneficial, but nature’s stair-stepper is a lot more beautiful. That is the whole point of Valentines Day anyway: spending time with a significant other. Spend time outside this weekend enjoying the company of others as well as time with the most beautiful subject: Earth.
There are numerous hikes within Colorado Springs that can be done in less than an hour. Ute Valley Park is located on Centennial and Vindicator, in the northwest side of town. This park is a great place to spend a couple of hours being active, while having fun. It is not as extravagant as Garden of the Gods, but is a beautiful little park that is surprisingly secluded; you won’t hear the noise of the busy city here.
Palmer Park is located in the center of town. It is easiest to access from Academy and Maizeland. Here you will find a wealth of land to explore and discover all while being minutes away from your dinner reservations. I think the most important part of a relationship is how the time is spent together. I believe bringing an active lifestyle into any relationship will be beneficial to all involved. If your heart is healthy, it’s happy. Happy Valentines Day.
