It's still 2009. The 2010 NCAA championships are still three months away... but the hosts of the 2011 championships are already getting the word out about their event.

In a press release issued Thursday, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced that all-session passes for the 2011 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia will go on sale Thursday, March 18, 2010. The championships are scheduled for March 17-19, 2011.

Lower bowl all-session tickets, which cover all six sessions, will be priced at $165. Tickets in the center sections of the upper bowl will be available for $150, while upper bowl end zone seats will sell for $135. Tickets can be purchased at the Wachovia Center box office, online at www.comcasttix.com, or by phone at 866/298-4200.

The Wachovia Center's seating capacity for wrestling is 17,366. The NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships' three-day, six-session attendance record is 97,336, set in St. Louis in 2009.

NOTE: The current wrestling season for Division I wrestlers will culminate at the 2010 NCAAs, to be held at Qwest Center in Omaha, Nebraska... an entire year before wrestlers, coaches and fans descend on Philadelphia.  For information on purchasing tickets for the 2010 NCAA Division I wrestling championships, visit the Omaha Sports Commission website.
