The Wildcat becomes a Bobcat.
Ryan Lang, who wrestled for the Northwestern University Wildcats, has joined the Ohio University Bobcat wrestling staff as a volunteer assistant coach.
Over five years of competition at Northwestern, Lang compiled a 104-27 career record, going 39-9 in dual meets.
Among his accomplishments as a Wildcat, Lang won the Big Ten Championship in the 141 lb class as a junior, and the 2006 Midlands Championships and the NWCA All-Star Classic. He earned NCAA All-American honors twice.
Prior to going to Northwestern, Lang, a native of North Royalton, Ohio, was a four-time Ohio high school state champ.
Ohio University is located in Athens, in the southeast portion of the state. The wrestling program competes in the Mid-American Conference.
