Here are this week’s scholarships that have deadlines approaching. While these scholarships have a limited number of recipients, the narrow window provides greater opportunity for those scholarship seekers who are willing to put in the time to try to win all of the scholarship money they can!

Early Research Awards
The APA Science Student Council is proud to introduce an annual competition for early (i.e., pre-doctoral) research. The purpose of the program is to reward an outstanding student research project completed before the dissertation. These awards recognize outstanding student researchers who are currently early in their graduate training (i.e., this should be recently completed research, within approximately twelve months preceding the submission deadline). We are unable to accept submissions from advanced graduate students for research completed earlier in their graduate training. Submissions for research in progress will also not be accepted. Applicants must be enrolled full-time and be in good standing in a graduate program in psychology at a regionally accredited university or college located in the United States or Canada. $1,000 to each of 3 recipients Applications must be received by September 15, 2009

The goals for the grant are to help improve the neurologic education of AAN members, including neurology residents and fellows, medical students, and non-neurologists, as well as promote career development of neurologic educators. $5,000-10,000 September 4, 2009
