The annual "Exploring College Options" program has been scheduled for interested Kansas City metro high school students and their parents.
Monday, September 13
Overland Park Sheraton (6100 College Boulevard)
7:30pm to 9pm
The evening's program features special presentations about five highly selective admission universities:
Duke University
Georgetown University
Harvard University
University of Pennsylvania
Stanford University
Admission representatives will highlight updates and news for each campus, discuss admission procedures for the 2010-2011 academic year, as well as offer advice on how to make the application for admission more successful.
This is a popular event, so although the program begins at 7:30pm, it is suggested that families arrive by 7:15 to check-in and obtain a seat.

Gone are the days that you get to meet with college recruiters individually, I guess.
Drew, no, that option is still available. But many schools work together and travel in groups to do local information sessions across the country, especially given the economy in recent years. Typically, these events are in the evening so that parents may attend, as well. But many, many colleges and universities are still visiting high schools across the country and are, of course, welcoming families for campus visits.
