McDonald's McCafé Hot and Iced Mochas
McDonald's McCafé Mocha Mondays
McDonald's will give away free iced or hot McCafé Mochas each Monday beginning July 13th, through August 3, 2009. The usual restrictions apply: limit one sample size 8oz. hot or 7oz. iced mocha per person per visit. The freebies will be offered from 7am-7pm on Mondays only while supplies last, and of course—only at participating locations.
In a bid to take a chunk of Starbucks customers interested in a less expensive product, in May of 2009 McDonald's launched the McCafé offerings of espresso-based coffee drinks including cappuccinos, lattes, mochas, iced and hot drinks, and hot chocolate in 11,000 McDonald's stores nationwide. How is that working for them? Exact results have not been released, but the McCafé have been credited for modest US sales increases in a tough economy when sales figures have been grim for most in the food & drink industry.

mcdonald's coffee is less expensive than starbucks, and the outcome of chosing the cheaper coffee from mcdonalds is that you sacrifice/deprive yourself of a good cup of joe. 364
