Father's Day approaches swiftly! So swiftly I'm afraid it might be too late for this article to be of use. Ah well, for any slackers out there like me, here are some admittedly off-the-wall coffee themed gift ideas.
Made famous by the movie The Bucket List, is Kopi Luwak coffee. Luwaks, relatives of the mongoose, love to eat coffee cherries. They love it so much their excrement is packed with the undigestable coffee beans. The Animalcoffee company processes and roasts these, er, uniquely prepared beans and will sell you a two ounce pouch for $30, or a mini teak gift box contaning one ounce of coffee and a luwak coffee keyring for $35.
If Dad isn't keen on ingesting something that's already been ingested, maybe he'd like something a little more traditional. Is he a Laker fan? For a mere $110 you can get Dad an NBA Lakers coffee table! It's got a wood grain base, a 24" diameter acryllic table top, a regulation sized rim and net underneath where he can display a basketball.
All right. A Laker table, while celebratory of their recent victory, isn't too traditional either.
So, here. The tried and true, the expected, the dreaded and very tacky coffee bean necktie.
When you give that to your dad, do me a favor. Don't mention my name.
