Every year, top brands, bartenders, mixologists, representatives, enthusiasts and cocktail lovers unite in New Orleans for five jam-packed days of fun, tasting, learning, meeting and greeting at
Tales of the Cocktail! From July 8-12
th,
New Orleans welcomed guests to the city who got a great education on cocktails, spirits, producers, fellow industry professionals and of course, the wonderful city of New Orleans!
The drinks were fabulous, the local food was delectable and with so much to learn and so many people to meet, the only thing missing at Tales of the Cocktail was a good night’s rest! With most evenings ending well into the morning hours, there was never a moment to spare! Seminars and meetings filled the daytime, with parties and spirited dinners passing into the wee hours. Most of the days took place at the grand
Hotel Monteleone, with dinners and bars taking visitors all over, from nearby old-fashioned favorite
Arnaud’s French 75 to the new and wonderful
Cure. From the opening parties to the funeral and infamous
Plymouth bartender breakfast at
Latrobe's on Royal, this was a five-day foray into the wondrous world of mixology.
This fun and informational cocktail convention has been going strong since 2003, led by founder Anne Tuennerman. Danny DeVito was in attendance with his
Limoncello, along with thousands of others (numbers were believed to be stronger than last year, when 15,000 attended). If you are part of the cocktail world or have any desire to learn more about it, you are strongly encouraged to head down to Tales of the Cocktail next year in July! More to come! Cheers!
