3 A.M. Diet Vodka Tonic

I was walking through my local liquor store the other day when something caught my eye. The makers of 3 Vodka have added two new items to their line-up. One was Black Raspberry, which to be honest didn't intrigue me much, but the other one called 3 A.M., did catch my eye. Described as an "energy vodka", 3 A.M. is a flavored vodka with caffeine, taurine, and guarana added.
Their website states that “Unlike many drinks with these components, which often have a harsh, medicinal, or metallic taste, 3 A.M. is both smooth and sweet, propelled by fresh, natural fruit flavors into the realm of superior spirits.
Already the fastest- and best-selling product of its kind, 3 A.M. is a completely unique spirit, ideal as a cocktail substitute for ordinary vodkas, and smooth and sweet enough to be sipped straight or on the rocks.”
Priced under $20 I decided to try some out. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't find the original 3 Vodka overly impressive for all the hype it is given. Alone 3 A.M. is a nice sipping vodka (well chilled), it had a nice flavor to it. I mixed mine with some diet tonic water and found it quite enjoyable. I see this becoming a regular at my house during the summer months.
3 A.M. Vodka Tonic
- 2 oz 3A.M. Vodka
- 8 oz tonic water or diet tonic water (carb friendly)
Serve in a tall glass over ice. Garnish with a raspberry.

- 1 part Cranberry juice
Shake together, pour, and fill flute with Champagne

- 1 part Midori
- 3 parts Orange juice
- 3 parts Soda

Splash of Grenadine

- 1/2 shot 3 A.M.
- 1/2 shot Jack Daniels
Screaming Canadian
- 1/2 shot 3 A.M.
- 1/2 shot Canadian Whiskey
Eiffel Tower
- 1/2 shot 3 A.M.
- 1/2 shot Grand Marnier
Did I mention that all 3 vodkas are distilled from soy?

I have been trying out the PINK vodka for about a week now (have to be in the right mood for late night caffeine buzz) and it is absolutely fantastic! my review should be coming up in the next week or so.

If you like the 3AM, you MUST try the Black Raspberry! I think mixing it with Cherry or Sprite Zero is an awesome combination!
