
Was Drambuie inspired by the need to protect against chilly breezes in a kilt?

For many fans, Drambuie is perfect as is, taken neat or on the rocks, but it also mixes well in cocktails. The Scotch base gives it a warmth that is perfect for chilly fall evenings. A crackling fire is optional, but it's certainly a nice touch.
Drambuie Espresso Martini
- 1 1/2 oz. Drambuie
- 1 oz. creme de cacao
- 1 oz. espresso
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously to mix, and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Warm Woolly Sheep
- 1 oz. Scotch whisky
- 1 1/2 oz. Drambuie
- warm milk
Combine the whisky and Drambuie in a heat-safe mug. Top off with warm milk, and stir lightly.
Buie Coffee
- 1 oz. Drambuie
- 1/2 oz. dark creme de cacao
- 4 oz. hot coffee
- 2 oz. cream
Combine the Drambuie, creme de cacao, and coffee into a footed mug. Float the cream on top of the drink. Serve garnished with a dusting of cocoa powder.
