Wu seeks funds to train 10,000 by 2010

 It’s a wonderful thing isn’t it? Government passing along taxpayer dollars to train high tech workers?

Our District 1 Representative David Wu, is attempting to acquire 500 million over 5 years to train high tech workers to learn to write software for the Healthcare industry with the 10,000 by 2010 legislation. Isn’t that just lovely?

Well, not exactly.

As of today there are a number of software companies that have already produced the very software that David Wu is attempting to acquire funds to train people to create. In fact the VA is already using versions that are quite advanced using imaging software, and certainly there is no shortage of competent ‘coders’ as they are called available to write the software, which takes no more training then the ability to code in the required language.

The issues are not about training, it’s about the availability of jobs and a total lack of demand for the training that WU is seeking the money for. The software already exists. The Coding languages already exist as do the coders.

What’s missing is the jobs, but never mind that… Let’s just pay some R and D firms to train some people for jobs that don’t exist. What’s more, this is not the first time this legislation has been put up by Wu, it was originally written for the 110th congress but didn't pass.

So, to sum up this insane waste, David Wu is attempting to acquire 500 Million dollars to train people who are already trained and already looking for work but cannot find it, in an industry with no demand for it.

Would it not made a great deal more sense to direct those funds towards tax relief for employers facing losses in business so they could keep their staff’s employed, instead of laying them off? Heaven forbid liberals actually try to save jobs; their policies are geared to killing jobs, something they are doing with remarkable efficiency.

Would it make a great deal more sense to direct those funds towards paying off the Chinese which now hold so much of our debt that we are literally beholden to China in terms of our economy, as well as the value of our dollar? In owning so much of our debt, if they want to destroy us, all they have to do is suddenly sell that debt for say 50 cents on the dollar and our economy will tank literally overnight. But don’t expect to hear that from Representative Wu. He and the Democrat Congress/White House do not want to mention that particularly catastrophic possibility. No, instead Wu and his counterparts in congress continue to dig the hole deeper by suggesting that a second Stimulus is needed. Why, is there another Nation out there looking to put a financial shock Collar on the United States?

Better yet, how about our congressmen and women stop spending money they don’t have!
What is needed so desperately in Oregon is JOBS. How do we go about doing that? Well certainly it makes no sense to take more money from businesses that could otherwise hire a new employee. If business is ‘allowed’ to keep its income, it will hire new employees because they can afford to! But don’t say that in Oregon; instead we increase taxes on businesses to take more money from them, causing them to fire more employees.

Brilliant if you want to tank an economy.

Why is it that Tax and Spend liberals just simply don’t get that in order to get someone a job, there has to be a business out there with the funds to hire one? Why is it that liberals simply refuse to recognize the simple realistic fact that small businesses are not full of unlimited funds? No, just tax them so we can afford to pay all the unemployment checks….. and create more unemployed. It’s a vicious circle, and one liberals simply can’t get out of because they can’t admit they are wrong, and change the policies to something that can WORK. Pun intended! You see, insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting to get different results. Wu's training would be for jobs that small software firms would be hiring for, only they have no jobs to offer, they are being taxed out of business.

What The State and Federal Government are doing with the Tax structure has NEVER worked. It not only creates depressions, it makes them longer and deeper. But then what else can one expect from tax and spend liberals other than insanity, that’s what you get when you keep drinking the Kool-aid, more poison.

The good news is the stark differences between the standard of living under democrats and republicans will only fuel the republicans back into power. If only because it will be VERY easy to say…”So are you better off now than you were 2 years ago?” and a lot of people are going to be able to say very solidly, no, they aren’t.

At this point, even President Obama is admitting that unemployment is going to increase over the next several months, some economists are predicting 12 to 18 months. If the current trend in Oregon continues for that long, even if it tapers towards the end, we could be looking at 20% Unemployment. Some cities in Oregon are already at or above 15%! That’s one in every 5 to 6 people! In just 6 months, Democrat policies have demonstrably shown themselves to be utter failures. Further, and this point has to be made, why is it that only 8.5% of the “stimulus” money has been spent? Why is it that the Federal Government, which has bent over backwards to say to say that this is the right thing to do, and has to be done RIGHT NOW, dso don't even take the normal 3 days to read the bill, you got it this afternoon, we are passing it tonight before you can figure out what's in it! (while forcing every major policy bill through the House without even READING any of them!!). How about releasing the funds ASAP to help people today?

Because if they hold onto the money for a while, even as people lose their jobs and whole industries slump to the point of collapse, they can use it closer to the 2012 election in order to artificially drop unemployment numbers, and artificially deflate the US dollar temporarily lowering inflation, at a huge future cost because those fixes are short term ones, temporary jobs, a single injection of meth into the economy in the hope of increasing the chances of their re-election.

This is not only immoral, but full of hypocrisy and corruption.

Apparently you losing your job and being forced into using the state dole at 1/3rd your previous salary is OK with your elected leaders. Obviously they do not care what their Machiavellian politics does to you and your family.

Talk about time for change…

Oregon’s unemployment is reported at 12.9%, but this number is expected to rise, perhaps as high as 20%. Wu is quite obviously unconcerned; he is ignoring the obvious anger being expressed by citizens at his Town Hall meetings. He is un-bothered and un-questioned about the ethics complaints against him; yet he got 72% of the vote regardless. Apparently Representative Wu considers himself to be untouchable; his rubber stamp votes for liberal insanity are apparently the only shield he needs. Shoot, he doesn’t even need to read the bills the Leadership in the House present! (((YES STAMP HERE PLEASE))) Besides, most of his campaign contributions come from out of state anyway, why bother with doing things for Oregon? His money doesn’t come from here anyway!

Not for long however, Wu is being called to account on this very issue by his Republican Challenger Stephen Andrew Brodhead, who had this to say about Wu’s lack of credible achievements for the People of Oregon:

“I do not understand how a congressman with such a thin political achievement portfolio and alleged corruption and ethic violations can garner 72 percent of the vote…? I mean most of his legislation of late does not directly help Oregonians that are out of work. Instead it bloats the coffers of very well funded Oregon educational institutions and special interest R and D groups.”

Brodhead is absolutely correct, and he is running for congress with funds from real Oregonians, not big business and not on sources from outside the state. In other words, a real representative of the people living in this great state. 

Until then, some change is indeed coming.
