The soap-opera-scandal festering around Louisville’s deposed dogcatcher Dr. Gilles Miloche shows no signs of abating. Now, it appears that the only person in town who doesn’t want the Canadian cad to leave Louisville as soon as possible is attorney Mikell Grafton. Yesterday, Ms. Grafton filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Miloche, with Wayne Zelinsky, the incoming interim director of Metro Animal Services, named as co-defendant.
Grafton, attorney for former Metro Animal Services animal care manager Dawn Simpson, filed the lawsuit in Jefferson County Circuit Court. According to WLKY32 reporter Andy Alcock (who probably doesn’t want Miloche to leave town either), Simpson’s lawsuit claims that, just after then-Sen. Hillary Clinton defeated Sen. Barack Obama in Kentucky's Democratic primary in May 2008, Meloche told Simpson "These rednecks would rather have a c*nt than a n*gg*r."

Simpson claimed that she expressed outrage at those remarks, and that Meloche repeated the comments and apparently thought himself amusing. She also accuses Meloche in her complaint of multiple instances of inappropriate touching, including a claim of Meloche suggestively sticking his finger in Simpson's stomach.
Assistant Director Wayne Zelinsky is also named in Simpson’s complaint, with an allegation that Simpson complained to Zelinsky about Meloche’s behavior, after which he responded, "Our fearless leader doesn't understand the concept of personal space." According to the complaint, Meloche repeatedly told Simpson and other animal services workers about his tight relationship with the mayor in an effort to prevent any complaints, and on multiple occasions referred to that relationship being like "gay love."
