The legal battles over Barack Hussein Obama’s constitutional eligibility to serve as president are picking up steam. Joseph Farah, editor of WorldNetDaily, is offering a $10,000 reward to anyone who can prove he or she was present at the birth of Barack Obama. "Barack Obama claims to have been born in Honolulu Aug. 4, 1961," explains Farah. "His entire constitutional claim to the presidency rests on this premise. Yet, he refuses to release a copy of his long-form birth certificate – the only document that could possibly corroborate his claim. Therefore, in the interest of truth, justice and the Constitution, I am making the extraordinary offer to entice someone to come forward with the facts of his birth – whether it took place in Hawaii or elsewhere."
Under Hawaiian law, birth certificates are private, and not subject to open records or freedom of information requests. To date, Obama has refused to waive his privilege of confidentiality, or to provide any information concerning the location of his birth.

According to Farah, Obama has steadfastly refused to release evidence of that Hawaiian birth – a valid, long-form birth certificate that would show details of the birth, such as the hospital and the attending physician. Because the short-form "certification of live birth" he released to select news organization was at least sometimes issued for foreign births on the basis of an affidavit by one parent, it proves nothing as far as constitutional eligibility – and, in fact, raises suspicions about a foreign birth. And Obama's paternal grandmother, Sarah Obama, claims to have been present for Barack’s birth in Mombassa, Kenya.
Complicating the issue are Obama's move to Indonesia as a child, where he reportedly attended that nation's public schools, registered as “Barry Soetoro,.” and was listed as an “Indonesian Muslim.” There have also been questions raised concerning his later travels to Pakistan, and on what nation's passport that travel was accomplished. Then there are the multiple law firms hired to make certain Obama's long-form birth certificate information, and other documentation such as medical and college records, remain sealed from public view.

Dozens of legal challenges to Obama's status as a "natural born citizen" have been filed in courts across the nation. The Constitution, Article 2, Section 1, states, "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President." Some of the lawsuits question whether he was actually born in Hawaii, as he insists. If he was born out of the country, Obama's American mother, the suits contend, was too young at the time of his birth to confer American citizenship to her son under the law at the time.
In California, U.S. District Judge David O. Carter has scheduled a July 13 hearing in a case challenging Barack Obama's eligibility to be president in which the plaintiff Alan Keys' attorney, Orly Taitz, says the commander-in-chief is in default. Keys, former Assistant U.S. Secretary of State and U.N. Ambassador, was also a contestant in the 2008 presidential race in California.

There were probably a million court hearings and meetings to discuss his eligibility, where all those papers where verified and proven real. It states he was born in Honolulu because that is what it says on the original birth certificate, which is where the state of Hawaii gets data for these short form birth certificates, the ones and only ones the State of Hawaii gives you when you apply for a copy! It really IS that simple. The same is true in Michigan. When I was going to apply for a passport, I paid 10-12 bucks(I forget now) and I got a certicate much like his Hawaii short-form. I remember being surprised it didnt have all the other information on it...I got my US passport just like his mother got his before they went to Indonesia. What brought initial "concern" to some was the mistaken belief that at the time he went Americans couldn't enter Pakistan, which was never true, there were only travel warnings/advisories. There are advisories right now about traveling to Pakistan and other places, doesn't mean you can't. He flew to Indonesia with his mother, they both had US passports, that is how you travel overseas, then and now. You need those to get back into the US without a problem, which there is no evidence he ever had a problem returning when he did. His grandparents picked him up and he started back at school. No problems. Had there been, it would all be in the State Dept.'s records, as all entries into the US are...yes, it really is THAT simple.

I'm not sure I want this issue to be pressed too hard. After all, if he is declared ineligible to be the president then that would probably mean Joe Biden would take over. And if the whole ticket is declared ineligible, then that would leave us with, gulp, Nancy 'Pogostick' Pelosi. 6,000,000 adopted persons in the US today are denied access to their own original birth certificates. Adoptees are routinely denied passports, pensions, government entitlements, driver's licenses, professional certifications, security clearances, and other normal documents and government favors due to their lack of an original birth certificate. The "amended birth certificate--the state-forged document issued at the time of their adoption finalization that changes the name,parents' names, and sometimes date and place of birth are rejected for the fake documents they are. Forget about the birth certificate! Obama said on his own website that he had "dual citizenship" at birth. Someone with dual citizenship at birth is not a natural born citizen and not eligible to be President under Article II of the U.S. Constitution.
U.S. Law and case law over the years clearly state that in order to be a Natural Born Citizen, the PARENTS must be U.S. Citizens. Obama II's father was NEVER a U.S. Citizen.

His leading question was misunderstood and the misunderstanding was caught by the translator and his grandmother and IMMEDIATELY clarified and cleared up. Many sites perpetrating this conspiracy cut off the recording right after they got the answer they WANTED, leaving out the part where the clarification is made, when they clearly denied he was born there.

Simple solution start a website that solicits donations sum total to be dedicated to the Kapiolani Childrens hospital (supposed birth Hospital) in the name of the Physician that brought the first president from HI and first black President into the world. When the donation is high enough no politician would be able to withstand the scrutinity of denying sick children much need hospital upgrads for such a selfish reason of keeping their long version BC concealed. Ironically, birthers and their ilk are in the forefront of keeping birth certificates sealed. It really is amusing to hear the great birther whine about not being allowed to see someone else's birth certificate, when adopted people aren't allowed, under law, to see their own. Cry me a river, birthers. If Hawaiian adoptees can't get their own birth certificatse, why shold you be allowed to get a perfect stranger's?

Forget about the birth certificate! Obama said on his own website that he had "dual citizenship" at birth. Someone with dual citizenship at birth is not a natural born citizen and not eligible to be President under Article II of the U.S. Constitution.
U.S. Law and case law over the years clearly state that in order to be a Natural Born Citizen, the PARENTS must be U.S. Citizens. Obama II's father was NEVER a U.S. Citizen.
Case closed with no birth certificate needed. Obama is not eligible.

Obama's grandmother never said he was born in Kenya. She was asked multiple questions through a translator. The questioner, "McRae" was asking LEADING questions. His leading question was misunderstood and the misunderstanding was caught by the translator and his grandmother and IMMEDIATELY clarified and cleared up. Many sites perpetrating this conspiracy cut off the recording right after they got the answer they WANTED, leaving out the part where the clarification is made, when they clearly denied he was born there.
"natural born": To be natural born your parents do not have to be American, I dare you to show one bit of proof of such a claim. You only need be BORN IN THE USA, period. You leave out the part N.B. that his book where he discusses his father etc. is a BESTSELLER, meaning it is no secret, EVERYONE knows this, that his father wasn't American. The State Dept., the RNC, constitutional lawers, NO ONE, has found that problematic, why? (because it doesn't matter)

I know the Examiner doesn't pay much and isn't regarded seriously, but it's gotta be easy work, i.e., you don't have to do any reporting of your own, just use someone else's. You birther whackjobs are showing your true colors.
Simple solution start a website that solicits donations sum total to be dedicated to the Kapiolani Childrens hospital (supposed birth Hospital) in the name of the Physician that brought the first president from HI and first black President into the world. When the donation is high enough no politician would be able to withstand the scrutinity of denying sick children much need hospital upgrads for such a selfish reason of keeping their long version BC concealed. I have $100 to donate as soon as the website is up and running and will link it on twitter, facebook and a myriad of blogs. This effort could even be considered bi-partisan because Obama supporters themselves could not argue against more recognition for anything Obama.
as i am still not an adult yet but a youth of 17 i will not pick a side left nor right and simply state what i observed if a man asks you if you have hidden something if your truthful and have nothing to hide you say no if you're a lair with something to hide you also say no if both people are searched the man with nothing to hide is obviously going to not put up a fight where as the man who is hiding his dirty evidence will go to great trouble to hide it fine Obama is president why waste his time effort and money to hide this? unless der he's hiding something. not to mention he's got connections with all kinds of large scale companies and government type organizations they could easily delete and or hide or alter his information especially if he was being used for something bigger then any of this
