Wanda Sykes
A recent force from the black community in the marriage equality march is actress and comedian Wanda Sykes.
Various polls show that the black community is largely non-supportive of gay rights advancement (Read THE BLACK-GAY DIVIDE). As a mainstream entertainer, Sykes is an important exception to the rule, as are political leaders such as Oakland Mayor Ron Dellums, Congresswoman Barbara Lee, Washington, D.C., Mayor Adrian Fenty, Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick and New York Gov. David Paterson (follow the links of each person to read a short biography).
She was married to David Hall from 1991 to 1998. In October 2008, in California, she married her female partner, whom she met in 2006. She publicly came out in November at a same-sex marriage rally regarding Prop 8 in Las Vegas that she is a lesbian and had just married. She expressed her excitement over the presidential election of Barack Obama, but also feeling “crushed” after the passage of Prop 8, forbidding marriages of same-sex couples in California.
She has continued to be active in same-sex marriage issues, hosting events and emceeing fundraisers.

So why did God create gay people? To make them suffer? OR to expose haters like you? The only mean-spirited and UNChristian people in the debate, are the so-called "christians" using the same old "Adam and Steve" joke. It wasn't funny the first time, so it's not funny now.

Who cares I'm straight and could give a hoot about the gay community. I say let them marry and do whatever they want within the law it doesn't affect my life any! We ALL will be judged in the end!
Its pretty ugly when someone who claims to be discriminated against would engage in hate speech against others and publicly wish others dead.
