Former Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin has told her followers on the social networking site Twitter that they should not retreat but “RELOAD” in response to the crushing defeat Republicans suffered when President Obama signed historic health care reform into law Tuesday.

In recent week several democratic leaders have been the victim of harassment, threats and even vandalism. Many feel this is due to Republican leadership inciting extremist groups like the Tea Partiers.
Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-NY), the chairwoman of the House Rules Committees who had a brick thrown through the window of her district office issued a statement today saying, “It’s more disturbing to me that Republican leadership has not condemned these attacks and instead appears to be fanning the flames with coded rhetoric.”

Can you really be serious? "Don't retreat - reload" is NOT a suggestion of violence. It is a cry to action.

I'm a wild-eyed liberal but you're stretching it here. Palin has many faults, but this particular phrase is clearly not a reference to violence. The conservatives lost this political battle, and she's merely suggesting they re-group and give it another shot. A shot at reversing their current political losses. Note how I used the word "shot" and I'm not suggesting a gun shot.
You don’t really have to be Einstein to put two and two together. Palin has long since used scare tactics whether they were true or not to make her points. Saying Obama palled around with terrorists, saying there will be death panels in health care reform, etc… I mean this is just yet another disgusting and distasteful comment by a woman who couldn’t even finish up her first term as governor and had the nerve to call it ‘going rogue’. And of course when pressed about it she’s going to say “well golly jee that’s not what I meant at all, you betcha it was just a reference to how I like to shoot things from helicopters” *wink* *wink* and then try to blame it somehow on Democrats and President Obama. Stupid article ! She's not promoting violence; that's a figurative use of her words not to be taken literally (except by the illiterate...). What she IS saying is that we should NOT back down and FIGHT (by campaigning, voting, filing lawsuits, etc.) for what we know is right!

Americans to be healthy and live long lives. We should want to take care of our elderly. I work in Social Services and am in one of the lowest paid states for this profession and I would still be willing to contribute some of my meager salary to health care. I'm tired of seeing people sick and dying with no one to help them. I'm tired of seeing elderly people who fought for this country, who built this country...unable to buy their prescriptions. It's a disgrace.
And for the people who have a problem for "what we have in the office now" what about what we had in the office for 8 years that started all this mess, now you want to blame the person trying to fix everything. Get off your high horse, take a ride around your middle and lower class neighborhoods, go to the hospitals and free clinics and see the overflow of people who can't get help. We are so sorry that you are so selfish that you feel you can't handle helping others. Give up a few vente latte's a year, it won't hurt you..it may make you healthier. I pray for you that you may never be in a position to need the kind of help that this bill will give to others. Try working with the people and look into a childs eyes and see if you can tell them that you can't be bothered with helping them stay healthy and live.
