Two Milwaukee locations will be filmed for the new Transformers 3 movie. A representative from Film Wisconsin says that they have been working out possible site locations since November. The Milwaukee Art Museum (700 Art Museum Drive) and Tower Automotive site on the north side will be used to film key scenes in the movie.
Extras Will Be Needed from the Milwaukee Area for Transformers 3
About 150 cast and crew members from Transformers 3 will be on hand during the week of July 12, 2010. Local Milwaukee film and video students may be hired as production assistant for the film, and extras will be required for the smaller roles. A representative from Film Wisconsin says that the " total economic impact of the movie shoot may top one million dollars." All film locations for Transformers 3 will be closed to the public.
For those interested in a role as an extra, producers from the movie will hold an open casting call from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 26th at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center (509 West Wisconsin Avenue).

Film Wisconsin has worked with several movie producers over the years to help make the state competitive in the film production industry. The organization keeps a database for movie-related professionals and also works with movie scouts. The last major motion picture that was filmed in Wisconsin was Public Enemies in 2009.
