Bucyrus International announced today that due to considerable growth in the company, they have purchased the old Midwest Airlines building in Oak Creek. According to its website, Senior Management and other employees will move to the Oak Creek building at 6744 South Howell Avenue, which will in turn make room for additional jobs at its South Milwaukee location.
Bucyrus Will Create 700 Wisconsin Jobs
Tim Sullivan, President and CEO of Bucyrus said in a statement on its website, “With the recent acquisition of the mining division of Terex Corporation, our employee base has increased and we need more space to accommodate the growth that will take place in the coming years.” The company will create roughly 700 Wisconsin jobs within the next three years. They currently have 10,000 worldwide.
New Bucyrus Location Consists of Two Building
The Oak Creek facility has over 120,000 square feet throughout two buildings. The land takes up 27 acres. Bucyrus designs and manufactures mining equipment used for coal, copper, iron ore, and other minerals.
