Two armed men walked up to a car at a gas station on North 27th and West Wright Streets in Milwaukee late Sunday night and stole a car. The driver of the car was a mother who had left the baby in the vehicle with another man. She went in to pay for gas, and as she did robbers approached the car and told the man still in the vehicle to leave. The robbers punched the man and threw him out of the car. They then drove off with the vehicle, which also had the eight-month old baby inside of it.
Robbers Returned Baby to the Police Station, Then Took Off
About thirty minutes later, the baby was placed on top of a police car at the Milwaukee Police District Four station. A woman saw the child at about 10:45 p.m. and ran into the police station yelling that a child had been left outside. The child was not harmed in the incident, and is currently safe at home with his mother. Police have made an arrest in the case.

I'm sorry to hear what happened. It's tough being a parent today and trying to get all that needs to be done completed. It would have been nice if someone was with the baby, in the vehicle, but it probably wouldn't have prevented the auto from being stolen. Glad everyone is okay and they should really throw the book at the car jacker. Great story, Cherie, with a somewhat happy ending. -Dusty
Hey Dusty,
Actually the mother did have a man in the car with the baby. The robbers forced the guy out and took the car. Scary! That poor mother must have been frantic.
