The recent UFO sightings in China have received a lot of buzz in the Memphis area. Many residents are once again reminded of last May when there was an alleged UFO sighting in nearby Horn Lake, Mississippi.
The China UFO’s closed an airport and also unleashed a worldwide buzz of chatter across the blogosphere and around video share sites such as YouTube.com.
The Atlantic reports that the “video” of the sighting wasn’t even filmed in China. They quoted Geoffrey Forden, a specialist at MIT, as saying “ Unfortunately, this video is not from Hangzhou but from Kazakhstan and was taken on June 30th and shows a Progress M launch from the Baikonur.”
Military exercises are commonly the explanation for UFO sightings. While many are hopoing that it’s indicative of an extraterrestrial setting, no one has ever honestly came forward and indicated that another world tried to make contact with us.
The military was coined as the root cause of the Horn Lake sighting last year. Even though it didn’t close or divert traffic from Memphis International Airport, it still was something that people around the world talked about.
Hopefully one day there will be a credible UFO sighting somewhere in the world. Maybe if there is another world out there those within our world will finally resolve our differences and get along.

What's this based upon?
I'd recommend the author take the time to read "Project Blue Book Special Report No. 14"
well jeeze D Barrett, how hard would it be for another world to make contact if they are already here with ufos ? just hover over any city and stay there- but instead we have ufo reports pics vids of ufos moving around almost like flies. I am intrigued by ufo reports etc but I find that the more I consider these reports, pics, vids (mostly proven fake, I might add) the less inclined I am to think that there are sentient beings in them and that there is likely a more natural or less fantastic explanation. It seems to me that most ufo-nuts (pardon the phrase) are people who look to ufos like a winning lottery ticket out of their own mundane lives- they ignore science, they ignore history they ignore educating themselves with the what we know and instead choose to dwell on half-assed star trek fictional technospeak and such. It seems many people think ufos are aliens coming to save us- I say think again, no one is here to save you- save yourself.
The photos are fake, but what exactly caused the Xiaoshan airport to be shut down? That wasn't fake.
One of the few times the US has deigned to carefully (and officially) study the UFO phenomenon (btw I'm not saying that I believe in anything at all, I just try to keep an open mind) they studied roughly 3200 reports and found that 22% of them were deemed "unknown".
Now. Here's the interesting part.
From wikipedia:
"The higher the quality of the case, the more likely it was to be classified unknown. 35% of the excellent cases were deemed unknowns, whereas only 18% of the poorest cases. This was the exact opposite result predicted by skeptics, who usually argued unknowns were poorer quality cases involving unreliable witnesses that could be solved if only better information were available"
Obviously this doesn't prove anything but it certainly raises many interesting questions; questions that ostensibly have been ignored by US officials.
anyway.
If you are quoting CNN's article, then that article is clearly misleading: Of course, I can't paste in a link. Go to the tucsoncitizen dot com website. Look at the article "Misleading mainstream media article regarding UFO in China.

this article is miserably written.
"hopoing" "it still was something that people around the world talked about.Hopefully one day there will be a credible UFO sighting somewhere in the world. Maybe if there is another world out there those within our world will finally resolve our differences and get along."
world, world, world, world
To TEST if someone is an Alien: Just ask them to recite the English alphbet backwards. Less than 1% of humans can do this, but aliens can with ease, and don't realize we can't. It's not that we can't... but that we never learned to... for it's really quite easy. They may have memorized our language, but they didn't memorize our limits. So if the person does it easily, the odds are... they're not 'local'.

Jordan....are you still dating Michelle?
Hopefully one day the people that can handle the truth will and so see the lies. In our generation there is a willful effort by organizations with monetary and military force executing the mandates of our world Authorities. The evidence is plain, but no authority; government, religion, or society, will make it plain to the public. Look at the disinformation surrounding an event, like the missile launch explanation for China's recent airport UFO. The 'explanation' coming days later, out of MIT, but that Russian missile launch was never mentioned before the Chinese UFO was! The media reports that scientists think that any video or image recordings were altered, but, don't you see we have to take Authority's word on that? There are many other pictures of UFOs, there are many people with "unknown" bodily scars and implants in them - What? Do yourself a favor and research PSYOPS, then remember that all UFO "abductees" are certified mentally ill by Psychiatry, we're invalid don't you know :)
The world powers KNOW that separate governments will end the moment the "majority" understand what is happening at an increasing rate. There are thousands of credible witnesses. Who loses if the wold joins up as one? The controlling one percent wealthiest. Everyone else gains as the wealthy's strangle hold on the other 99% is broken. It is coming and the one percent cannot stop something that they have no control of. Something that is coming from outside our planet. The paradigm shift is nearly here.
Quote from Timothy -"Who loses if the wold joins up as one? The controlling one percent wealthiest. Everyone else gains as the wealthy's strangle hold on the other 99% is broken"
OH MAN OH MAN I hope this is true and it SOON happens I can hardly wait, and i hope these lowlifes are sitting in the streets selling the proverbial pencils in a cup so we can laugh out loud at them all
"Hopefully one day there will be a credible UFO sighting somewhere in the world."
I don't understand this as there have been many "credible' sightings made by people such as astronauts, airline pilots, policemen, military pilots etc, etc.
What they are I do not know.
When I was 8 yrs old, I came within 5 ft of a small disk with lights on it.(We lived in a very rural area) Told my mom about it. I could tell she really didn't believe me. Next day's major headline in newspaper: Strange lights seen over area, flying lamp posts etc.

No legitimate sightings or evidence? What about pilots? Hundreds have reported seeing things that defy conventional explanation (or hallucination). What about Officer Lonnie Zamora's sighting of not only a UFO on the ground, but occupants as well, with analysis of trace evidence of the lighting showing a multi-ton object sitting on the ground - just like office Zamora said. Again, hundreds of other officers also have reported seeing things they can't explain. These people are trained observers and even if you throw out 90% of the sightings that still leaves 10 % you can't explain away. What do you do with those?
Got something to say?
