If you're sick of baseball games that don't matter (looking at you, Pittsburgh fans) and are chomping at the bit for football season, pay attention to some of these reasonable deals that will be available at local bars during NFL game days this year.
First off, check out Flinchy's Restaurant Bar in Camp Hill. It's a smaller little bar but it maintains a great atmosphere if you bring friends, an appetite and a mean thirst. They have a killer Monday deal for the prime-time game enthusiasts which includes a free half-time food buffet and $5 for a dozen wings.
For the Sunday games, check out Ceoltas Irish Pub. Three of their six televisions are plasma, which should please the discriminating media consumers. They maintain a decent variety of game options on game day because of their NFL Sunday Ticket package. If you don't see the game you want, ask nicely (!) if they have the one you're looking for.
If you want a more family friendly atmosphere, the Brewhouse Grille offers some decent Sunday deals that will feed your kids for cheap and allow you some peace and quiet to watch the game while they throw cheese sticks in their faces. Come for the $1.99 kids menu and stay for the $5.50 domestic drafts and a NFL Satellite Package that will let you track your favorite teams.
There will be updates on deals at bars throughout football season. If you have any favorites or tips, please let me know so the world can know. Contact me at wwc5021@gmail.com.
