Following an interview with University of Cincinnati WR Mardy Gilyard, the website NFLDraftBible.com is convinced that Brian Kelly isn't leaving for Notre Dame.
In speaking with reporters for the website, Gilyard confirmed that he believes Kelly will remain in Cincinnati despite confirmed reports that Kelly is meeting with Notre Dame officials today in New York City to discuss their head coaching position.
Gilyard told the website the following:
“We ain’t going to lose him. He ain’t going anywhere. He already addressed the team on that. He addressed the team and said I’m not going anywhere. This was a couple days ago. Because it’s been popping up everywhere. You know so we had to focus just on playing the game. Coach, he didn’t shy away from it. He didn’t shy from the questions or nothing like that. He said listen guys. I’m here to stay. I like you guys, I like the city, I like my team. He was like I’m not going nowhere. Boss man has never lied to me personally.”
