CI Legends Yellow Label cigar band
Length: 5 ¾ inches
Ring Gauge: 54
Wrapper: Corojo
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
This cigar is made by Don Pepin Garcia for Cigars International as part of a "competition" between nine other cigar makers.
The wrapper gives off a mild cedar and tobacco aroma while the foot aroma is sweet. The wrapper is tan in color with a few fine veins. The cigar was firm with no soft spots. After clipping the cap, the pre-light draw was very easy.
There is no mistaking that this is a Pepin. There is spice that pinches the nose and the back of the throat at exhale. The cigar produces a tremendous amount of smoke that is very satisfying. There is a salty taste on my lips from the wrapper that contrasts well with the smooth, creamy smoke. Coffee, cream and woody tobacco round out the flavor profile. About halfway through, the spice calmed down.
The ash was almost white and very firm. The cigar had a ragged burn but did not require a touch up until the final third.
I smoked this cigar almost to the nub in about sixty very enjoyable minutes. Cigars International offers the Legends Yellow Label in 5 packs for $25 or a box of 20 for $69.95. At the time I wrote this review, they were backordered. I say these are worth the wait if you want to order now.

Pepin is going to make the best for his own brands and not for large mail order places in my opinion. It's a shame these guys sell themselves out for the money.
I see your point. Is it a sell out or maybe a way to recoup some money from a blend that wasn't "just right" for the DPG label?
