Official Whitehouse Photograph of President Obama
Since it became obvious that Barack Obama may become the President of the United States, many "prophecies" about him have appeared.
Perhaps the most recent is from Kim Clement allegedly prophesied the following in Memphis, Tennessee on October 26, 2009:
““There shall come a change in the early part of 2010 and many will say, ‘Look, things are not quite as bad as what it seemed,’ and those who have murmured and those who have spoken evil, those who have spread words out to bring shame to this race will not be satisfied.”…
God says, “Your President shall have a great conversion in 2010 which will bring about changes to this nation and because I have spoken.
“Your prayers and your praise shall bring about a change in the atmosphere; your praise and your shouts bring about a change, for you don’t understand the significance of these sounds. I’m not listening to the journalists or the prognosticators. I’m not listening to CBS or NBC or ABC or FOX.” God says, “I’m not listening!…
God says, “I will honor the prayer in the Easter of 2010. I will break the cycle.
“For they have predicted another one shall die in office. It shall not be so. For this President shall leave this office bringing honor to the African American people.” Source: http://www.elijahlist.com/words/display_word/8184
Perhaps it should also mention that Barack Obama already claims to be a “Christian” of the Greco-Roman sort and that he already was “converted”. While President Obama could make some strong declaration of faith in 2010, this writer does not accept the above "prophecy" will result in a new conversion to original Christianity.
Others have claimed to have their own biblical and other reasons why they feel that Barack Obama will be the antichrist. However, a recently published book (2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect) goes through eight of those "reasons" and explains why Barack Obama is not the antichrist.
Additionally, there is a 17th century Shi'ite prophecy that Forbes reported that many believe points to Barack Obama:
Is Barack Obama
the “promised warrior” coming to help the Hidden Imam of Shiite Muslims conquer the world?…a pro-government Web site published a Hadith
(or tradition) from a Shiite text of the 17th century. The tradition comes from Bahar al-Anvar (meaning Oceans of Light) by Mullah Majlisi , a magnum opus in 132 volumes and the basis of modern Shiite Islam .According to the tradition, Imam
Ali Ibn Abi-Talib (the prophet’s cousin and son-in-law) prophesied that at the End of Times and just before the return of the Mahdi , the Ultimate Saviour, a “tall black man will assume the reins of government in the West.” Commanding “the strongest army on earth,” the new ruler in the West will carry “a clear sign” from the third imam, whose name was Hussein Ibn Ali . The tradition concludes: “Shiites should have no doubt that he is with us.”In a curious coincidence Obama
’s first and second names–Barack Hussein–mean “the blessing of Hussein” in Arabic and Persian. His family name, Obama, written in the Persian alphabet, reads O Ba Ma, which means “he is with us,” the magic formula in Majlisi’s tradition. (cited in 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect, pp. 132-133).Essentially, the above says that a powerful Muslim leader is to rise once someone like President Obama comes on the scene. While no such leader has yet arisen publicly, many believe that such a Muslim leader is alive today and will rise up. Perhaps while Barack Obama is president.
There are also allegedly African predictions, writings for Nostradamus, and other sources that some claim point to President Obama. A prediction from Kenyan warns that the destruction of the United States would come when a son of a Luo Kenyan becomes powerful (President Obama's father was a Luo Kenyan).
So some suggest that Barack Obama will be helpful to the U.S.A. and others take the opposite view.
The US President has been the subject of a lot of speculations in the prophec sense. How many of these prophecies he is personally aware of, however, is uncertain.
