Pumpkin pie is the perfect dessert to serve after your Christmas meal is complete. Here is a basic and easy recipe that will make 2 pies.
Pumpkin PIe
- 1 can pumpkin, large can
- 2 cups milk
- 3/4 cup evaporated milk
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 2 unbaked pie crusts
Preheat oven to 450*.
Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl with a wire whisk.
Pour mixture evenly into 2 regular sized pie crusts.
Bake pies at 450* for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350* and bake pies for 50-60 minutes.
TIP: If crusts are getting too dark, cover the edges with foil or aluminum pie crust ring.
