Beverly grew up in the Presbyterian Church in the 1960s and saw many changes over the years as the church split into two groups, PCA - a more fundamental belief, and PCUSA - a more liberal world view belief. She has studied world religions for many years, attended churches as diverse as Unitarian Universalist and Seventh Day Adventist, and has worked as Christian Education Director and Church Administrator for two area churches. She has a dual degree in English and Psychology and has a strong desire to hold fast to Biblical truths, while understanding the need to be open and loving to those who were not raised in the Christian faith. She has written for many publications and is passionate about helping others see things through new eyes, not old lies, even if that means rubbing some folks the wrong way. …

If you really love someone, you try your best not to throw them away when they will not see eye to eye with you on religious beliefs, yet at the same time, if you know someone is going down a destructive path, you are obligated to do your best to help them see there is a better way if only they will embrace it.
