Does Adam Lambert creep you out?

He seems to be front page news these days, primarily due to a racy performace at Sunday's American Music Awards where he kissed a member of his band - a male member of his band - most likely as a publicity stunt in order to garner attention and provide an additional platform from which to speak.

Since then, Adam Lambert's face and a still photo of that taboo moment have been plastered on headlines all over the internet.  As a result, no one surfing the internet is safe from his Tammy Faye features and Astro Boy 'do, his come hither look with an all around creepy sexual vibe.

But perhaps that is part of his allure.

It could also be why some people are repulsed.

Adam Lambert embraces and flaunts his homosexuality.
This does not sit well with those who are uncomfortable with such behavior.

Even here in California, where liberals run free, San Diego native Miss Carrie Prejean became a household name for her stance on traditional Christian values - i.e. marriage should be between one man and one woman, not one adult (pick any gender) and any other adult (pick any matching gender).

So parents will complain who don't want their little boys seduced by a guy like Adam, or their little girls influenced by a scary guy who will only break their heart, and they certainly don't want to see what they believe should be kept in the closet or brought out only with the help of a psychiatrist or a priest.  Then again, perhaps a priest is responsible for someone like Adam in the first place.

Whatever the case may be, Adam is here to stay ... for the rest of his 15 minutes.

My daughter mentioned Adam Lambert to me a couple of days ago. She has a new favorite band called Owl City and she did an image search for the lead singer, also named Adam. She was disturbed by the images she found which she described as VERY CREEPY. Turns out the pics were of Adam Lambert.

The snide remark about how "perhaps a priest is responsible for someone like Adam in the first place" is another cheap shot at the only religion that it is still chic to lampoon. The facts show that if Adam's behavior is a result of emotional trauma at the hands of another, the other is much more likely to be a public school teacher . . . ouch, did I say that? How un-PC of me!!

to anna: Thank you, I never heard of Owl City
to Greg: un-PC is fine with me, if you have some proof of those "facts" then please post them here
