Can any good come out of Tiger Woods multiple adulterous affairs?

We have seen Tiger Woods plastered all over the news lately - first for his automobile accident on Nov. 27th, and then for one alleged affair after another, multiple adulterous affairs with various women all over the country.  The most recent spread count is 12.

It seems like Tiger Wood's reputation will forever be tarnished, endorsement deals lost, both kids and adults alike will have lost one more sports hero they could look up to, so even though it's been just two weeks into this golfer's very public nightmare, the question that begs answering is:  Can any good come of this?

The answer is of course "Yes."   A very resounding "Yes."   Because good can come out of any situation; however, sometimes things must get worse before they can get better, and a person must face his/her sin head-on.

The Bible says "Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear his deeds will be exposed." ~ John 3:20

Tiger Woods deeds have been exposed.  Exposed not just to his wife and those closest to him, but to everyone in the world.  The flirting, the secret messages, the rendezvous, and the sex.

Tiger Woods released a public apology for his "transgressions."  Definitely a move in the right direction.  Now it is time for Tiger Woods to admit he has a problem.  The same problem that plagues all of mankind.

Every man has committed adultery in his heart.  He has looked on a woman with lust.  He may not have acted out like Tiger Woods did, but there are plenty of men who are cheating right now, mentally or physically, with someone they know or someone they would like to know.

So "good" can indeed come out of this when Tiger Woods realizes that he has sinned against God, his wife, his children, his family, his fans, the women he had sex with, their boyfriends or husbands at the time, as well as their future mates, their families and their children.  Then he can seek everyone's forgiveness, repent - which means to turn completely away from his sin, and work at rebuilding his reputation.

Every man, woman, and child can realize that Tiger Woods is as human as they are, and if they have hidden sin in their lives, they should stop now before that which is done in secret comes out in the light.  Not just because it's embarassing, and hurtful, but because it is wrong.

God is watching, and waiting ... and it's not too late to leave your sin behind.   It feels good to be forgiven, but it feels even better when you have nothing left to forgive.

Tiger is unfortunately figuring out that sins cannot stay hidden forever. There is always someone who knows, even if only God.
I believe we should all pray for him, his family and those involved.

He is not the only person involved in this, and by that, I mean it takes two to tango. While "Every man has committed adultery in his heart", society today has dictated that women egg that on.

Hi is at fult here but those women could have and should have said no.

We all need to remember that Tiger Woods is just human with human faults. He may be more in the limelight than others but is and never will be perfect.

Thanks for the article and pointing out that while you may not have physically committed the sin (any sin), if you have even thought of it, you have committed the sin in God's eyes.

Thank you Julia. Yes, women play their part, and it's sad how some will be taking this to the bank ... much like a prostitute would do.
