Some of Stanford's best still cannot make sperm and egg cells...yet. They have made 'primitive' sperm and egg cells. I reckon those are for primates.
They are called "'primitive' because they are not the fully-formed, mature sperm or eggs that are normally involved in conception."
Then they aren't sperm and/or egg cells, are they? More like germ cells.
My question is, "Why not?" Why can't these folk create the sperm and egg cells? With all their tools and knowledge and purpose and direction and heart and soul and mind and strength and...Why not?
Gosh, left to chance it happened, no? So, the roll of the dice and billions of years of muddling about can do what Stanford's best cannot do even with a sense of purpose and all the best that scientific knowledge has to offer? What's up with that?
I know who can do it...just by speaking to have it so. Yeah, the Creator with his unfathomable wisdom can do it and keeps doing it.

Invalid analysis. Its billions of years with the filter of natural selection that can produce. That's why they're using genetic algorithms to design circuits, sometimes with remearkable results.
And with a mere 200 years of real scientific progress, the most powerful in the last 100 there's much we don't know. Are you willing to bet that we won't understand a lot more in 1000 years? That is, of course, unless some fanatical loony doesn't succeed in destroying the planet because of some fantasy whose origin will bear far greater resemblance to religion than science.
Since the beginning of time people have been trying to prove there is no God (why they can't accept Him, I don't know but God has given us free will to choose for Him or against Him). Whether or not it was called science way back makes no difference because it was what it was, it just had no label. Science is what it is today because of what was started from the beginning. And besides, scientists have been using what is already here. They have not created anything, they are only discovering what God has already created. Man can immitate and even duplicate, but he cannot create. Do you think that science just began in the 19th century? Bill's analysis is correct.
What is this drivel? The same nonsense has been said about hundreds of 'phenomena' that science later explains in great detail. DNA, quantum mechanics, superconducters, lightning, planets/stars, etc. I'm sure there have been an innumerable amount of people like yourself who doubt human ingenuity and scientific progress and hold onto ancient dogmatic principles for the extent of their lives only to be shown to have a complete misunderstanding of reality. Just because scientists can't create them now doesn't mean they never will be able to. Mapping the human genomes was thought to be impossible and the theories of quantum mechanics could rate up there with complete gibberish fairy-tales to someone who doesn't understand the mechanisms involved. You know how to use the internet. We're all capable of logical thought. Take advantage of the plethora of information at your fingertips and truly educate yourself about the universe you live in. Life is truly majestic, with or without a deity.
They can try with all their might...but their is only one Creator!
