The death Christian rock artist Dana Key came to me as a bit of a shock. He was only 56 years old. He died of a blood clot.
Key was half of the Christian Rock group, "De Garmo & Key" which got its start in 1978. That was the era of artists and groups such as Phil Keaggy, Second Chapter of Acts, Petra, and Randy Stonehill to name a few. All the musicians played a great role in making Christian Rock a respectable genre.
According to CT Entertainment, "In recent years, Key was a senior pastor at TLC Community Church in Memphis, Tenn., which was his and DeGarmo's hometown."
His friend Todd Agnew said , “Dana Key took that last step to the promised land last night. Right now, his God, his Father, his Savior is filling every promise He made. I don’t know exactly what that looks like, but Dana deserved it.”.
Death shouldn't really surprise us, but it certainly does sting us. Death is the result of sin. But I rejoice in the news that Dana Key, a good and faithful servant, has entered into his joy of his Master.

We can be comforted in the fact that he was 'Destined to Win'.
