<<Sigh!!!>> It seems there is a sex tape, that kind of tape of Carrie Prejean going around. (please say it ain't so!) I am so sorry to hear this. I don't know the girl, I never saw the pageant. But, I do know that when some folk find Christians who have stumbled it makes them happy. And for why?
"Well, if Christians act this way, then what is the benefit of being a Christian?" Very fair question. All I can say is the church isn't for perfect people but people who are trying to be perfect. Jesus said that he came for those who were sick, not those who don't need a doctor.
Folk also want to rationalize their own shortcomings.
"Look Christians do this sort of thing."
Not much sense in that kind of reasoning.
Indeed I hope it's not true about Prejean or anybody else for that matter. I will give her the benefit of the doubt. Innocent until proven guilty. And if she is guilty, no love lost, just hoping she repents and makes the effort with the help of God to turn her life around.

The admittedly repressed old men who started the "organized church" have been trying to convince the rest of us for more than 2,000 years that sex is "sinful."
God designed us to be loving, sensual and sexual beings under Him. Jesus told you: "Love One Another."
Any false teachers who promise love is sinful deserve to be ignored.

Why would we care? She's obviously a woman trying to exploit her physical attributes for gain. That she's not too bright is not a deficit in the community of people she's trying to operate in. If she had really good brains she'd probably use them.

I don't believe this and I think it is just the gays trying to trash her. She is a good Christian and would never appear in a video showing her privates.
sex and the church: The "organized church" has never preached that sex is sinful, only that sex outside of marriage is a sin. You only have to look at the natural results of sexual promiscuity to know that God was right to set such limits.
Interesting. Sex is natural and a wonderful gift from God to married couples. My church never taught me that sex was sinful...except outside of marriage. Good article and I have faith that Carrie will be fine.

We have more info on Carrie Prejean's abrupt about-face during the settlement negotiations with Miss California USA lawyers -- when they showed her the X-Rated version of Home Alone ... starring Carrie herself.
When the video started playing, Carrie's first reaction was "that's disgusting" ... and Carrie denied it was her.
Then, the camera angle changed ... and panned up to her face. She was caught red-handed ... so to speak.
Carrie was rendered speechless and immediately began talking with her lawyer. We're told it took about 15 seconds for Carrie to drop her $1 million dollar demand.
God alone has the right to pass judgment on anyone. He and Ms. Prejean alone can sort out what of all this was morally wrong and what to do about it, and anyone else who dares judge her is out of line. (Romans 14:10; James 4:11 just to note a few.)
I see nothing wrong with a sex tape, per se. If a husband and wife find it's fun to tape their own sex and watch it, there's no harm, though one just be diligent about keeping such things out of the wrong hands. If what they do is blessed, recording it is no less blessed.
For Ms. Prejean it's the circumstances under which it was made, and how it got leaked. The world's giddy frenzy over all this is a greater sin than anything she did. At least nothing she did was done maliciously.
I respect her no less than before this turned up. And God always respects us--all of us.
(Also, I concur with blueraven6. There is much that Christians are taught and learn to believe that comes not from scripture, but just plain folks of long ago.)
