Indeed "the heavens declare the glory of God, the skies proclaim the work of his hands."
There is a full solar eclipse coming up on July 22nd, 2009.

To my atheists friends, I am sure you will enjoy the eclipse as much as we Christians do. However, Christians will also marvel at the beauty of design of the Creator.

Re your comment beginning "To my atheist friends,..." A good friend once told me that he felt "sorry for me" since I did not appreciate it when he said he'd pray for me. He is still a good friend and I am sure you are a decent guy too, but statements like that are so arrogant that it boggles my mind. What is more baffling to me is that you all can't (won't?) see that the onus is on YOU to prove your claim of a creator, not on me to disprove it. You cannot use the normal reasoning and logic we all use to prove the behavior of gravity or disprove the veracity of my statement that I flapped my arms and flew like a bird yesterday to support your claim. But people do try, and when it fails, they fall back on the "you don't understand" or "works in mysterious ways" comments.
I also don't see why the wonder of an eclipse or garden or any other natural phenomenon needs any improvement with fantasy. Arrogance with a side helping of greed.

I do feel sorry for people who think this all happens by some accidental big bang, so sad.
I don't think it's defending our belief or attempting to prove it's validity. Simply put: we give credit to artists for their great works in the flesh, why not give props to the Almighty once in a while... no arrogance, just humble respect.
God said 'let there be light' and from his mouth issued creation itself; from his voice came infinite stars; from his breath galaxies were born and died.. how dare you profane your own almighty by forsaking what we have learned. just b/c i follow multiple deities, it does not mean that in the end they are not the same in One. And our science has shown how glorious that deity can be, not through parthenogenesis, but through the careful, laborious task of adapting various species into what inhabits this tiny world today. The earth is but an atom in the tapestry of creation, spinning slowly in its orbit, an electron inhabited. Science and faith are the same, merely different sides of the same kind. This event will begin the flow of change, where perhaps the old and the fragile will pass, and the new, the meek, will see the world, and the universe for how truly magnificent and Divine it really is. The countdown begins, will you wage war, or peace?

Arrogant idiots that do not believe in GOD. GOD put all of us here for a reason and as christians we are taught not to question GOD's plans or motiffs. We are taught to have faith and to believe in the LORD our GOD that he will watch over us and protect us from evil if only we just BELIEVE!! We Believe Jesus is Coming soon. So repent and Believe in the Gospel which will save you from the Judgement. I know all are sinners. Jesus came to free the sinners from punishment.He died for our sins and rose again for our ustificattion. Obey the Commandments of JESUS and Believe U will be saved from Hell fire.
