Dr. Jim Goll of Encounter Network
After a grueling 8-year struggle with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma cancer, Jim Goll received the stunning and exhilarating news that “All cancer was gone from his body and all the growths have melted.” This was confirmed by both PET and CT scan and by all three of his doctors at The Cancer Treatment of America in Zion, Illinois.
Steve Shultz, Founder and Publisher of The ElijahList, Breaking Christian News and Prophetic.TV issued their Elijah List prophetic newsletter on October 9, 2009 that started a roar of rejoicing through the Christian prophetic community and the Body of Christ at large. Praises of thanksgiving ascended to the Heavens giving glory to God alone. What a victory!
This is a spectacular miracle. Why the roar of rejoicing that is spreading like wildfire through the Christian community as believers discover this glorious news one by one? It comes from the voice of a family of believers worldwide who have stood in faith for this highly honored and anointed man of God and his four children who buried their mom, Michal Ann, 1 year ago, from brain cancer.
“Dr. James W. Goll is the co-founder of Encounters Network, Director of PrayerStorm, and coordinates Encounters Alliance, a coalition of leaders. He has shared Jesus in more than 40 nations worldwide teaching and imparting the power of intercession, prophetic ministry, and life in the Spirit. James is the author of numerous books including PrayerStorm, Angelic Encounters, Prophetic Intercessor and The Seer. James is also a contributing writer to Kairos magazine and several other periodicals,” as reported on his ministry website. They also bring God's compassionate love to hurting nations through another ministry venue entitled, "Compassion Acts."
Like valiant warriors, both Jim and his late wife Michel Ann had been battling cancer simultaneously, while juggling a major worldwide ministry, hectic schedules, 4 beautiful children, the rigorous demands of 2 cancer treatment schedules and all the emotions that accompany a family and ministry walking through the shadow of death. Any parent can just imagine the emotional strain of "fears screaming" the looming possibility of four precious children orphaned. It was a tough year, but they made it through “for God was with them.” Michal Ann made it through the portals of Heaven and into the the waiting arms of the One she loved most, as Jim and the children were carried by the Good Shepherd through the next year.
Things were looking pretty bleak just 2 months ago. On August 11, 2009 Elijah List.com issued another newsletter rallying efforts for Jim Goll when Jim reported that “A recent PET scan revealed that in the last six months the existing growths have doubled in size and now new lymph glands have also become infected.” Jim received this devastating news still grieving his wife’s and ministry partner’s death just 10 months earlier. And understandably so, the strong struggle ensued between resisting the natural yearning to be with his wife verses continuing the fight to stay for the sake of his children and finish his course.
There's another huge factor that makes this such a spectacular miracle, in the face of thousands of hours of crying out to Heaven and the horrible disappointment of it being “her time to go.” He being somewhat of a "wounded warrior" and in pain from his heart wrenching loss, it took mammoth grace from Heaven, to pick himself by the bootstraps and believe unwaveringly for his own healing. But God was ever so faithful and an abundance of grace for the battle was hand delivered by God Himself to the rejoicing of Justin, GraceAnn, Tyler, and Rachel, his valiant children.
Jim reports in the October Elijah List Newsletter, “What was I to do? I could only trust while I was in this dark place of my life. I felt like I was once again blind Bartimaeus groping in the darkness as I constantly cried out for Jesus to stop by my house. As I had done years ago, I shouted as loud as I could while walking on our farm in Franklin, TN, "Over here, right now!" and I know that many others cried out to the Messiah for new life to come again to me.”
"Either God had to act on my behalf, or in a matter of time I knew I would be joining the great cloud of witnesses myself. Part of me longed for eternity. But I, and many of you with me, fought until I could hardly fight any more. I spoke to my inner man, my spirit man, to stay for the sake of my children…to stay for the sake of the testimony of Jesus…but then I also had to decide that I wanted to stay for myself…my course was not yet finished.”
Jim shared that one of the big keys to his healing miracle was a prophetic word. “The Lord gave me a word in June of 2009 based out of Psalm 84 through Julie Meyer, a prophetic psalmist and friend. The word said I would pass through the valley of weeping and appear before the Lord in ZION and go from strength to strength. It confirmed my direction and I have undergone treatment in Zion, Illinois. I have been passing through the long deep valley of weeping and I shall gain new strength.”
“So how did it happen? I really do not know. I am just glad it has! I know this—I got prayer from many ministers of the Gospel; intercession went up from the Global Prayer Movement; I got the best medical treatment the world has to offer; I ate right, drank right, did this and did that….but you know what? When we have done all, we are left in a desperate place, because we cannot do it all!”
"Then God."
“Then God…Then God…Then God. I threw myself these past few months in a place of abandoned desperation once again. I had no other place to go. At times I wanted to run and hide and pull the covers over my head. As a family we have lost and have gone through so much! The departure of my dear wife one year ago just about did me in. On the heels of that, I was hit with the report of an increase of cancer activity in my own body; this was the third or fourth time in eight years I had heard this.”
God is good.
We rejoice with the entire extended Goll family. We join the roar of rejoicing. On a personal note, Jim has been a major influence in my life, one of my favorite prophetic mentors. This miracle means the world to me. I'm very glad the Lord granted us all the gift of "satisfying Him with long life" from
Psalms 91:16.
"Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name (has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love and kindness--trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no never). He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation." Psalm 91:14-16
Oh, death, where is thy sting? The end result, Michal Ann is having a blast dancing with Jesus around the throne of God, more alive than she has ever been before, knowing in just a twinkle of an eye, their family will be reunited once again. Jim is stronger, closer to God with unshakable faith and more like the Lion of the Tribe of Judah than ever before. The Body of Christ and unbelievers to all four corners of the earth will hear the testimony of this spectacular miracle as it is spreads far and wide giving glory to the Most Glorious One, Jesus. And these four children, wow, what mighty exploits for the Kingdom they will be doing, growing up with godly parents like these and walking through fire like this, holding tightly to a God like our God.
Jim, the nations and all of Heaven rejoice at your spectacular victory of faith. Now, continue My faithful one to run the race by His grace, as Michal leads that cloud of witnesses to cheer you on.
Let us continue standing guard, awake and alert with our shields of faith, covering this powerful and mighty prophetic ministry with our love and intercession as the Holy Spirit brings him to your remembrance. Thanks be unto God who ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS causes us to triumph in Christ Jesus!

what is it with god and his reluctance to heal amputees?
Hi Mike, Forgive me for my delay in responding to you. But hey....amputees are no exception to the glorious healing power from the God in whom nothing is impossible. I've heard a testimony of a great evangelist who does massive healing crusades, believe it may be T.L.Osburn, but that he brought a man on stage who was only a stump, no arms and no legs. He boldy declared to the entire mass audience that God would heal this man and if He didn't they could all walk out and say that His God was not the true and living God. He prayed. Instantly arms and legs grew out before the eyes of all and massive revival broke out, weeping and repenting as people fell before the Lord and ran up to the altar to surrender to Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It's one of the greatest miracles I have ever heard and I will never forget it. There is hope. In the New Testament, Jesus healed them ALL, never turning anyone away who had faith, believed like a little child and was relentless to not give up.
