The Arizona Christian Men’s Basketball Association along with the Saint Paul United Methodist Men will dedicate their “3rd Friday Knight” event on July 16th to the community. The organizations will be sponsoring a “Backpacks Back-2-School” drive. They will be collecting backpacks and school supplies to be delivered to single parent families in need. They will also be collecting financial donations for the “Lil Brothers School Uniform Fund.” The funds will be used to assist with the purchase of the required uniforms for single parent homes with young boys.
“Although our mission is health and wellness education for adult men, we feel a greater sense of responsibility to help in our communities, especially with the development of young men and our lil brothers,” founder Barney Hilton Murray says.
Donations can be dropped off at the 3rd Friday Knight event and financial donations can be made online at http://azcmba.org/support.htm.
