The American Patriot's Bible is a combination of a New King James Bible (and all the helps that come with it) and a history of the United States, looking through the lens of Christianity. It is large, hard-cover, and has very readable print.
I am reviewing this book for Thomas Nelson publishers and I give it 5 stars. This Bible is perfect for those who want to study the Bible alongside of American history.
The preface includes a family records section, map of the US including dates of each state’s induction, an area to fill in Military and Public service, and family deaths. It includes a well-written Call to Action. There are lots of full-color inserts containing articles on themes such as:
- Christianity in Colonial America
- Faith of our Founders
- American Revolution
- The Great Awakening
- Christianity in American Education
- Civil War
- Monuments to American Patriotism
- World War II
- Equal Rights
- Famous Christian Americans
This Bible will make a wonderful gift for anyone who is patriotic -- I'm giving it to my mother-in-law for Mother's Day. There is no mistaking the Christian roots upon which our country was founded.

Thanks for the review! One of my brothers would proably also like this one.
Thanks for bringing this book to my attention. Now, if this could only be allowed as a textbook in the public schools!
My father, a newer Christian and a vetran, would enjoy and benefit from this greatly! Thanks for the great Fathers' Day idea!
for a solid Biblical perspective, please see these links please google "greg boyd blog" and
see his entries from the first week of May.
too much of the church is worshipping at the altar of nationalistic idolatry
Wow, I have to wonder why the faith of our founding fathers, past presidents and other American leaders is so threatening to so many and creates such anger. This study Bible is factual, beautifully done and I pray that it will be in all Christian homes and schools
Evidently, and found on several blogs, there are those who serve Greg Boyd as their savior. The idea is to post YOUR thoughts, not his on blogs. Perhaps we'd rather let someone else do our thinking and talking for us?
It's good to have feedback from the "other side". Only problem is your sounding like the Democrats beating up on Bush only your knocking Jesus. Hey it's OK, there have been people hammering away at religion since day one and all the hammers are worn out and the truth still stands. Actually you have a 50/50 chance your right. Personally I place my bet on the Christian side. If you die and you are right that's it over and done. If I'm right you got major problems, heck just the basic Biblical principles are good to live by. Can you imagine no Christian principles, well you know...
