As he grew older, he began to question and explore, to learn what really was out there regarding the history of religion. One of those seminal books was James Michener's The Source, starting with the concept of "El" and following the different changes through the ages. Did the Red Sea really part? Did Joshua's trumphets real bring down the walls of Jericho? Why does the Christian Bible incorporate a history of the Hebrews in the form of the Old Testament? Why do people believe?
