After graduating from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff with a degree in public relations, Liz Johnson set out to work in the Christian publishing industry, which was her lifelong dream. In 2006 she got her wish when she accepted a publicity position at a major trade book publisher. While working as a publicist in the industry, she decided to pursue her other dream-being an author. Along the way to having her novel published, she wrote articles for several magazines and worked as a freelance editorial consultant.
Liz lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she enjoys theater, ice skating, volunteering in her church’s bookstore and making frequent trips to Arizona to dote on her nephew and three nieces. She loves stories of true love with happy endings. The Kidnapping of Kenzie Thorn is her first novel.

10 FUN FACTS ABOUT LIZ
1. Early Bird or Night Owl? No contest. I'm a night owl. 1:30a.m. on a weeknight is not unheard of for
me, and I write way better at night too.
2. Favorite board game: Boggle, even though my brother always beats me. :)
3. At what age was your first book published? 27 (I turned 28, 11 days after the official release)
4. Your best feature: My eyes. Big, round eyes run in my family, and while they're usually green, I love that they change colors depending on what I wear.
5. Play(ed) any instruments? Once upon a time I played piano, and I played the alto sax from 5th-10th grade. Now I'm musically illiterate.
6. Greatest fear: That I might be responsible for someone else's heartache.
7. Favorite romantic comedy: Oh. Just one? I love rom coms. While You Were Sleeping is definitely toward the top of the list.
8. Book you're reading now: Ransome's Honor by Kaye Dacus, The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Speare, Deadly Intent by Camy Tang, and about a hundred other books. Can't keep it to one at time anymore.
9. What makes you laugh? Things that are surprising. Unexpected humor makes me roar.
10. Favorite candy bar: Butterfinger. Definitely.
