In the world of Christian Speculative Fiction, there are some quite unexpected creatures. Welcome to Thirsting for Blood, Sue Dent's series that tackle vampire and werewolves in a faith-filled setting.
The story begins with Never Ceese. Hundreds of years ago, two young people became the carriers of a curse that stripped their souls and made them unable to love. The first is a vampire that isn't sparkly, just tortured with the knowledge of that he has left behind God and anything to do with Him. The second a werewolf who absolutely refuses to quit trying to find redemption.
Ceese is a young girl, destined from birth to be a werewolf. Richard carries within his body the vampire who would stop at nothing to feed, even on those nearest and dearest to him. There is only one thing that can make either of them human again, but who can bear up under it? Together they fight to save their souls...and each other.
The story doesn't end with this book though. Early this year the sequel, Forever Richard came out from the Writer's Cafe Press. Here you find out what happens when you don't clean up all the loose ends. True evil has come to the world through their carelessness, and once again Ceese and Richard have to join forces. This time they're not trying to save their souls, but the world around them, from a monster without remorse.
While the story of good vs. evil isn't anything new in the world of Christian fiction, vampires and werewolves are a rare combination indeed. Sue's books aren't the easiest to find, though you can purchase them online. The third book to the series, Cyn No More is forthcoming.

Well you are absolutely awesome! My goodness, you've made my Halloween! Thank-you so much for the shout out. I'd like to add that though neither Never Ceese nor Forever Richard come through an affiliated Christian publisher both have been approved by Spring Arbor for distribution to the general Christian market. You can find both books anywhere except in venues where affiliated books are sold. If you don't know what that means, don't worry about it. LOL I do ask that everyone understand that since my first Christian publisher went under, I now only make money off the paperback version of Never Ceese. And yes, these stories are about vampires and werewolves of lore. That's something I could write about since I write for general market Christians. I do so love all my CBA readers too!! You make writing worthwhile. :)

Awesome review. As a fan of speculative fiction, Christian fiction, and vamps, these books sound great!
Do make sure and purchase the paperback of Never Ceese as I make nothing off the hardback version. It's available everywhere. ;)
