Rise Above

Romans 8:9-11 (NLT)
But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.) And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God. The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to ride in a hot air balloon? It is fascinating in concept to see a huge balloon carry people high above the confines of gravity. By using a simple law of nature, man has developed a way to rise above the complexity of life. A hot air balloon is made up of three essential parts the envelope (balloon), burner and basket. Science says that warmer air rises in cooler air. Hot air is lighter than cooler air because it has less mass per unit of volume. When enough hot air is released to fill the large envelope it begins to lift and as long as there is enough of the hot air to overcome the weight factor, one becomes airborne. What makes a hot air balloon so fascinating? Is it the potential of something so elementary to soar effortlessly? Or is it humanity’s call to escape the everyday circumstances holding them captive despite God’s declaration of freedom through Jesus Christ? How could the ability to defy natural gravity be so uncomplicated and easy? It is a simple as the release of air.
The weight of sin in one’s life has the ability to hold God’s People from rising above the circumstances of life to attain the new perspective and freedom to fly that God has instilled in them. It attaches itself to each individual so the enemy can attempt to stop a person from moving into the place that God has for them just as the weights on a hot air balloon can prevent it from reaching the clouds. The envelope of a hot air balloon demonstrates your life. It has the capacity to rise above the circumstances of life while expanding to reveal a colorful display that will catch the eye of man. The basket of your life holds all the potential and promises that God has packed for a life lived above the cares of this world. Every dream and vision of the Kingdom of God is inside to be manifested in life without all the clutter of the world. It is small enough that no one would put junk in it just the precious things of life. Finally the most important part that is absolutely necessary to carry you out of your situation and into the spiritual realm of living that God created and Jesus provided – His Holy Spirit. The Spirit is often compared to air. It cannot be seen but nonetheless is evident. You will never attain the heights of clarity that are available in Jesus Christ without the Holy Spirit to lift you out of what you man sees into the place that God sees. High above the obstacles is a clear perspective. The Holy Spirit longs to release the weights that hold you bound to earthly laws and principles and elevate your thinking to perceive things through the eyes of God and His Great Love for you! He can only do this when we personally release Him in our lives. The Holy Spirit is part of God. He was released by Jesus Christ upon His Departure and is waiting to be activated in your life!
John 6:63-65 (Message)
The Spirit can make life. Sheer muscle and willpower don't make anything happen. Every word I've spoken to you is a Spirit-word, and so it is life-making. But some of you are resisting, refusing to have any part in this." (Jesus knew from the start that some weren't going to risk themselves with him. He knew also who would betray him.) He went on to say, "This is why I told you earlier that no one is capable of coming to me on his own. You get to me only as a gift from the Father."
You will never reach the full potential of who God created you to be until you release the Spirit of God in your life. The Spirit of God has the ability to breathe new life into an otherwise unsuccessful existence. He takes you to where Jesus Christ is! Your perspective changes! The same Spirit that had the power to raise the humanity of Jesus Christ back to life longs to be released in your life too! That dream that is dying is about to come back to life under the Word and Wisdom of God’s Spirit alive and fully operational in you! The circumstances holding you to the earthly realm are about to drop off and you will be lifted into the freedom that Jesus promised! You cannot do it on your own! That is why it seems impossible to complete your purpose and experience God’s Promises, but that is about to change! Release God’s Spirit to operate in your life today and you will rise above to experience true living at its best!
