The Potluck Club book series: Linda Evans Shepherd and Eve Marie Everson
Get ready to pick up a book and not be able to put it down. The Potluck books are wonderfully written works of art. Picture this: Colorado, six ladies with families and jobs, one church and lots of food. Now, you have an idea of the Potluck Club.
Let me introduce you to the ladies of the club:
- Evie: A native of Summit View, Colorado, not fond of change
- Lisa Leann: New to Summit View, Colorado, wants to take over the town
- Goldie: A married housewife, getting ready to have her life turned upside down and inside out
- Donna: A single young woman and Summit View police officer
- Lizzie: A local librarian, very quiet and reserved
- Vonnie: Married with no children…until one day…
These ladies meet once a month for their Potluck Club meeting. At each meeting they pray, talk, organize and eat! They seem to get themselves into sticky situations all too often. Each lady has a special recipe or two they make throughout the book and these special recipes are all added in at the end. It is kind of like a double feature with these books: a contemporary novel and cookbook all rolled into one.
