Magic Tree Bookstore Children's Book Week event - Patricia Polacco visit

On Tuesday, May 12, at 7 p.m., acclaimed children's author and illustrator Patricia Polacco will make a special visit to the Magic Tree Bookstore in Oak Park.

As part of her appearance, she will unveil the top three winning entries to the current Magic Tree Bookstore Design a Bookmark Contest. Creative Chicago children who love to draw are invited to submit entries to this fun bookmark art contest through April 30, 2009.

Author and Illustrator Patricia Polacco's Books

Children's author and illustrator Patricia Polacco has created such beloved children's picture books as Pink and Say, Just Plain Fancy, and The Keeping Quilt. Her most recent work is In Our Mothers' House (Philomel $17.99).

The Magic Tree Bookstore is located at 141 N. Oak Park Ave. in Oak Park.
