Target Memorial Day Sale (May 24 – 30)

From May 24 to May 30, 2009, Chicagoland Target stores will offer great deals and reduced prices on many kids' items, such as $37 video games like Hannah Montana: Spotlight World Tour Wii game, Mario Party 8 for Wii, and Guitar Hero: Metallica for PS3, Wii, and XBOX 360.

As part of the ongoing Target Summer Toy Sale, over 200 toys will also receive temporary price cuts, from large items like the Arctic Splash Water Table, the Banzai Sidewinder Falls inflatable pool and slide, and the Razor Spark Scooter to smaller toys like building sets from the LEGO Power Miners and Agents series and select small Cars toys.

Babies R Us, Toys R Us Memorial Day savings

A variety of deals will be available at Chicagoland Babies "R" Us and Toys "R" Us stores from May 22 to May 25, 2009.

Babies "R" Us Memorial Day sale deals include:

• a savings of 20% on all Disney gifts and blankets at BRU.
• The Evenflo Walkaround Garden Party entertainer for $84.99 (reduced by $15 from its normal price).

Toys "R" Us Memorial Day sale deals include:

• The First Act Light-Up drum set for $89.98 ($20 off normal retail price).
• Just Like Home wood kitchen for $49.99 (50% off).
• Pink Sony Cybershot for $119.99 ($60 off normal retail price; while limited quantities last, with no rain checks).
• Neopets 3-pack and Neopets Mystery Island playset for $3.99 to $7.49 each (reduced 50%).
• Littlest Pet Shop VIP dolls from $4.98 each (for savings of over 65%).
• Barbie Princess style head for $19.99 (savings of over 35%).
• Great deals on toys for summer outdoor fun, like free ammo included when kids purchase a Nerf N-Strike blaster (quantities limited, with no rain checks) and savings on toys for bug exploration (Butterfly Treehouse, Discovery Kids Night Vision Goggles, and Bug Vacuum), each reduced in price to $9.99.

K-Mart Memorial Day Sale

At the K-Mart 2-Day Sale, shoppers can save from May 24 to May 25, 2009, with deals including 20% off all pools, boogie boards, tubes, and inflatables and a 5 for $5 deal on Little Dipper pool noodles, as well as discounts on on kids' patriotic clothing and swimwear.

From May 24 to May 30, 2009, K-mart shoppers can save on playthings for outdoor summer activities like all of K-mart's swing-sets or some fun water toys like the Animal spray pool assortment and Banzai Croc Chomp or 3-D Blackout Tunnel water slide. Toy deals include:

• The Hannah Montana fashion doll for $9.99.
• Games like Operation Rescue Kit and Moon Sand Adventure Island for $16.99.
• My Little Pony Carrying Case or Littlest Pet Shop 10-pack for $17.99

Memorial Day Sales on baby, toddler, kids clothes

Chicago parents can get some great bargains on children's clothes during Memorial Day sales in 2009 as well.

• Gymboree's Memorial Day Sale is offering an extra 20% off already reduced sale items (clothing for newborns, toddlers, and kids) for a total savings of 60% through May 25th.
• Carter's Memorial Day Sale runs from May 21 to May 25, offering up to 60% off of select styles of babies and kids clothes, plus an extra 30% off of all clearance merchandise.
• Macy's Memorial Day Sale is offering deals on kids' swimsuits (50% off), along with reduced prices on summer items for mom and dad, like sandals, fragrances, housewares, jewelry and clothes through May 25th.
