To celebrate the upcoming October 2009 release of poseable Barbie® Fashionista™ dolls, Mattel has released a fun "Do The Barbie" music video to teach children and Barbie fans how to do "The Barbie" dance. Starring the three Barbie Fashionista dolls – Sassy, Cutie, and Artsy – this special Barbie music video was choreographed by JaQuel Knight (also the choreographer behind Beyoncé's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)") to a new version of the '90s song "Barbie Girl" by Aqua.

Barbie Fashionista dolls
Each of the new Barbie Fashionista dolls can move at 12 different points, including bending elbows, twisting wrists, moving waists, and rolling heads. This allows for a much greater range of movement and the ability to strike over 100 poses, which are showcased in the music video, "The Barbie."
These special Barbies will be on sale in October and are expected to retail for around $11.99.
Do The Barbie music video
The storyline of this catchy Barbie music video narrates how the Barbie dolls break out of their boxes and dance alongside human Barbie dancers. A Hottie Ken doll appears, as does a human Ken, hapless at dancing, who is styled to look like a hipster Jonas brother with a trilby hat, tight pants, hightop sneakers, and a black vest over a white T-shirt.
Where the original Aqua "Barbie Girl" lyrics had some inappropriate references, the new Mattel-approved lyrics convey a more appropriate and empowering message about being a star and an inspiration.
