In a late breaking report, that is bound to make some teen/tween hearts flutter,
Kevin Jonas, the 21-year-old eldest brother of the Disney Channel's wholesome, music chart-topping Jonas Brothers trio, has indeed taken himself out of the “available” dating market.
Reported earlier on Reuters news service, and verified directly from the Jonas Brothers website minutes ago, Kevin Jonas proposed marriage to 22-year old Miss Danielle Deleasa earlier today.
In this recent picture, Kevin was performing along with his brothers, Joe and Nick on the Good Morning America special in New York on Friday, June 12, 2009. There seems to be more than just a special sparkle in his eye.
In a statement from Kevin’s parents, verifying the momentous occasion, Kevin Sr. and Denise Jonas, posted their statement on the trio’s website:
“Our hearts are filled with joy today and we are happy to share with you that our son Kevin has asked Danielle Deleasa for her hand in marriage. Her answer was yes and it is such a blessing that she will be joining our family. Kevin and Danielle have not yet set a date. Family is very dear to us and we hope we have raised Kevin to be a wonderful man and husband. Please join us in our families celebration and in congratulating Kevin and Danielle. Thank you for all of your support."
According to People Magazine, Kevin, who took a brief break from the Brother’s 2009 World Tour, showed up on Miss Deleasa’s New Jersey doorstep and “got down on one knee and asked his girlfriend of two years to marry him. " Deleasa is reportedly to have said, “Yes, yes, yes, like 500 times super fast in a row," Jonas is said to have told the magazine.
It has been revealed that Deleasa, a former hairdresser, met Kevin Jonas in 2007 when both their families were vacationing in the Bahamas.
No date has been set for the happy couple’s nuptials yet.
Congratulations Kevin! One brother down and now two to go!
