Family Movie Night at the Park is back!
Sponsored by The Community Services Department in association with Torrance’s local Homeowners Associations, Family Movie Night is the event to bond with your children, meet friends and neighbors at the park and re-discover the magic of some of the best family movies ever made.
Pack a picnic basket, bring lawn chairs and warm blankets and watch the park transform into a movie theater.
On June 26, Shrek (rated PG), the Academy Award Winner for Best Animated Feature takes over the screen.
Shrek (voiced by Mike Myers) finds his formerly peaceful swamp invaded by fairytale creatures. He reluctantly teams up with Donkey (Eddy Murphy) and pays a visit to Lord Farquaad (John Lithgow) who evicted all enchanted beings and isn’t above torturing the gingerbread man for information.
After winning a tournament, Shrek is chosen to rescue Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz) who is guarded by a dragon in a castle engulfed by lava. But Fiona has a secret - it's not a big deal, just a "little thing that happens at night".
And so the adventure begins…
