“Mighty Acts of God” by Starr Meade is not your typical bible story book for children. Rather than focusing on the many different characters in the bible such as Noah, Saul, Adam & Eve the 90 bible stories in “Mighty Acts of God” center on God. The traits or a truth about God’s character emphasizing that God is the main character in every single bible story.
While some recommend “Mighty Acts of God” for ages 8-12 I found that as young as four found the stories interesting and the illustrations held their attention. This is a wonderful Bible story book for families with young children to share as family devotional time but should not be referred to as ‘a Bible’. The stories each include discussion questions and life applications along with scripture references where the story can be found in the Bible.
The bible stories in “Mighty Acts of God” chronologically follow the bible both Old and New Testaments and show readers the consistent passionate loving Father God is.

I'm all for this! Great job.
I find this a VERY fascinating subject.
Todays church has little or no power... and there are no mentors to train children in the Power of the Kingdom of God.
And we WONDER why todays children... and even Christian children, get drawn to Harry Potter and Twilight.
Because children are DRAWN to power, and the church is lacking in manifesting any, so they go where there IS power.
This sounds like a great gift idea!
This would make a great gift ...time to start building a good shopping list for Christmas 2011.
