“Madagascar Escape 2 Africa: Father and Son Save the Day” is recommended reading level for children 9-12 but the younger children will want you to read this great book to them over and over. Most kids today recognize the name Madagascar from the movies which brings them a since of familiarity.
In “Madagascar Escape 2 Africa” the animal’s plane crashes in Africa. The lion in the group, Alex who is the king of New York is reunited with his father Zuba who is the powerful king of the jungle. As the story goes on Alex and his father must work together as a team to save the other animals.
The story is very simple but yet there are several lesions to be learned such as teamwork, the differences between others, and the bond between fathers and children. My four and seven year old grand-children have seen the movie but still enjoy reading this book over and over.
