“God's Story for Me” is a wonderful children’s book to start children learning the stories in the Bible. The 104 Favorite Bible Stories for Children are each illustrated with simple but colorful pictures related to each story which hold the attention of young children. The stories are told in simple words making “God’s Story for Me” easy for ages as young as seven or eight to read. Also with each story is the bible scripture reference as well as a ‘Connection Circle’ which helps children to connect the story to their own life.
One example of a ‘Connection Circle’ is the story of Josiah (2 Chronicles 34:1-35:19) the connection circle is, “Reading God’s Word and obeying Him makes us glad!”
An additional feature of “God's Story for Me: 104 Favorite Bible Stories for Children” are the stickers included in the back of the book. Kids love stickers and they can use the stickers to personalize the stories. I purchased “God's Story for Me: 104 Favorite Bible Stories for Children” to keep at my house for the grandchildren. When the kids spend the night with Grandma they take turns picking a story to read then that child gets to pick a sticker to put on the story.

I love the idea of the stickers. Another great book is The Beginner's Bible by Kelly Pulley. No stickers, but the stories are simple with colorful pictures as well!
