Earth Day: An Alphabet Book by Gary Kowalski is a darling alphabet book to celebrate Earth Day. Each page of the book is dedicated to one or two letters and presents pictures of plants, animals, insects, and other living things in our environment.
Recommended reading for ages four thru eight years of age even younger children enjoy the pictures and this is a great book to help little ones start to learn their alphabet. Just a few of the examples of nature you will find are: alligators, apple trees, June bugs, zucchini, and zebras. There are a few even I didn’t know like a narwhal – I had to look that one up online to find out what it was.
Rocco Baviera the illustrator of the book has received several awards for his children’s books illustrations including The Society of Illustrators in New York and Child Magazine.
