As previously reported, Eric Rosen of Chicago, about to enter 10th grade, is having a wonderful U.S.Open tournament. It just got even better.
After already drawing a grandmaster and defeating a 2300+-rated opponent, Eric had the black pieces in the final round of the tournament against well-known grandmaster John Fedorowicz, rated 2544. In a stunning 16-move game, Eric defeated the strong GM. Here's the game:
