A long-time cheese lover, Bob's passion for the curd began to ferment in earnest following a trip and accidental cheese tasting in Sonoma, California in 2004. From there, Bob has been actively aging his cheese knowledge and experience through extensive cheese tastings, self-education, and several intense "cheese boot camps" at Murray's Cheese, in New York City. Today, he is the "big cheese" for Società Dante Alighieri Miami, the Italian Cultural Society, teaching cheese classes and working with their wine program to broaden the cheese and food pairing aspects of the classes. Bob also writes a cheese-related blog at fromageBob.Wordpress.com, participates in local wine tasting panels, and helps the "cheese deprived" in Miami expand their horizons through education, casual tastings, and other related activities.
